All Natural Pain Relief Balm 2 Oz Roll Up
This pain balm is first made by infusing arnica, cayenne and ginger in Apricot Kernel Oil for their pain relieving tendencies. Then I use a blend of essential oils designed to provide both warming and cooling qualities and help with inflammation.
Can be used for arthritis, sore backs and on any sore muscles. Do not use on broken skin as arnica can make itchy.
Arnica helps speed the healing process by moving waste-bound fluids out and moving cleansing fluids and platelets into the affected area. The anti-inflammatory properties of arnica are primarily due to its sesquiterpene lactones. These chemicals cause a reduction of inflammation by blocking the actions of pro-inflammatory cytokines. Arnica oils and creams are one of the best known herbal sports medicines, arnica has dramatic results if used immediately after an injury.
Cayenne pepper is used to treat muscle pain, fibromyalgia and arthritis. It appears to act by decreasing the concentration of substance P, the primary chemical used by nerve cells to transmit pain signals. It takes repeated use over a period of at least a few weeks to feel this benefit. Cayenne is also rich in salicylates, natural aspirin like compounds, which add to its analgesic nature. The heat of cayenne warms stiff arthritic joints and relaxes away lower back pain. The longer you use it, the better it works.
Ginger can help reduce prostaglandins, which are the compounds associated with pain. When used topically, ginger oil can help relieve aches and pain, as well as promote normal blood circulation. The warming abilities of ginger helps to improve circulation and relieve tension in tired muscles.
